Placed in the superficial world of the contemporary art scene in Los Angeles where great artists and art collectors pay a high price when art intersects with trade, the film revolves around a series of mysterious paintings found in the apartment of a dead hermit. After a series of pictures of an unknown artist are discovered, a supernatural force takes revenge on those who have left their greed to enter the path of art. Impressed by how surrealistic the paintings are, the art gallery owner, Morf Vandewalt, and her nurse, Rhodora Haze, have put the artwork to the public, ignoring the instructions the clandestine artist has left. The paintings prove to be cursed, and soon all those who buy them begin to be destroyed by the sinister entity that possesses the morbid paintings.
