Taking place in 1862 Ireland, the film tells the story of a young girl who refuses to eat, but to everyone’s amazement she continues to be healthy and lively. English nurse Lib Wright is brought to a small village to watch over 11-year-old Anna O’Donnell. Tourists and pilgrims gather in groups to see the little girl who is said to have lived without food for months. Is this village home to a saint who only feeds on heavenly manna or is there something more obscure in the middle of this whole story?
