Since leaving behind his career as a government assassin, Robert McCall has had a hard time coming to terms with the horrible things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in doing justice on behalf of the oppressed. Feeling surprisingly well in southern Italy, where he has adapted very well and seems to be at home, he learns that his new friends are under the control of the local mafia bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he must do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mob.
