Ali, a sergeant in the US Navy, returns home to New York, after a failed mission to protect important people from the US Embassy in Romania. Tormented by the memory of her failure, she agrees to work as a doorman in an old block of flats to be renovated, a job arranged by her uncle. He does not know, however, that his brother-in-law and his children, a brother-in-law with whom he had a relationship, live in the same block. The last remaining tenants in the block are an elderly couple, husband and wife, and Ali’s family. With the complicity of another porter in the building, a gang of criminals appears in search of valuable paintings. The remaining tenants become collateral victims, and Ali must fight to defend his family.
