Greta (2019) is a psychological thriller about a single and mysterious widow, whose friendship with a naïve youngster is becoming more and more obsessive and sinister. Frances, a pretty young woman trying to be successful in NYC, is not thinking when it comes to returning the bag she finds on the subway, the rightful owner. The owner is Greta, a special pianist with a predilection for romantic music and a desperate need for the company. Frances recently lost her mother and feels alienated by her father, while Greta has lost her husband and her daughter lives far away. The two are quickly becoming friends, but this friendship gets a lot more sinister shades, as the widow’s interest in Frances escalates. Greta (2018) plunges us into a whirlwind of obsession and manipulation, gradually revealing the true character of the characters.
