Booksmart (2019) follows the story of Amy and Molly, two conscientious teenagers and best friends who on the eve of graduating high school, suddenly realize that they should have worked less and had more fun. Somewhere along the way, the two were so busy worrying about their future that they missed their teenage years. Realizing that they have never broken rules, they realize that many of the colleagues who prioritized their social lives have also succeeded in securing a bright future. In an attempt to make more “traditional” memories of high school, the girls set out on a mission to cram four years of fun into one wild night. Booksmart (2019) is a comedy about high school friendships and the relationships we create and last a lifetime.
