Based on the book of the same name by John Brandon, Arkansas (2020) mixes three decades of drug trafficking to explore the cycle of violence that turns young people into criminals and the elderly into legends. Kyle and Swin live on the orders of a drug lord from Arkansas named Frog, whom they never met. They operate as drug dealers at night, under the watchful eye of Frog’s representatives. Swin adjusts to his day job, starting a relationship with Johnna, against orders. Meanwhile, Kyle continues to question his night job trying to figure out who Frog really is. After too many inept decisions, their world is then turned upside down, while Kyle, Swin and Johanna find themselves directly in the middle of Frog’s attention, who mistakenly considers them a threat to his empire.
