Based on Patrick DeWitt’s novel, The Sisters Brothers (2018) follows the story of brothers Eli and Charlie, two paid assassins in the footsteps of a prospector who stole from their boss. Charlie and Elie live in a wild and hostile world, have blood on their hands: both criminals and innocents. The brethren live in Oregon and work for the Commodore, acting as bullies and sometimes as executioners. They have to travel to San Francisco to perform a new mission for their boss: to find and kill Hermann Kermit Warm, a gold seeker. From Oregon to San Francisco, an implacable hunt begins, an incipient journey that will test this crazy link that unites them. However, Eli has an existential crisis and begins to doubt the longevity of the chosen career, and Hermann might have a better offer.
