In 1940, Japan’s attack on the Pearl Harbor completely destroyed the morale of the Americans. President of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt, decided to risk everything and bomb the city of Tokyo, thus offering hope to the public. The bombings were led by Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Doolittle. However, after the end of the mission, the pilots were forced to flee to the coastal districts near Zhejiang. A young pilot, Jack Turner, was saved by a local widow named Ying who risked his own life by hiding the injured American pilot in his home. Despite the fact that they could not communicate verbally, a special love story arose between the two.
