The year 2031: passengers of a train are the only survivors of the catastrophe that occurred on Earth. The story (Le Transperceneige graphic novel adaptation of the French Jean-Marc Rochette) is set in a future where, after an experiment out of control to stop global warming, a new ice age has been installed, killing almost all life on Earth. The only survivors are occupants of “Snowpiercer,” a giant train set in motion by a perpetual motion engine-mobile. A similar parable biblicei Arce of Noah, has a tense and paranoid atmosphere effectively, further accentuated by the environment claustrant a train where the survivors are condemned to live. Director Joon-ho Bong makes a persuasive portrait of the world of the future. The creative talents of it helped, costume designer and Director of photography, Hong Kyung-Pyo.
