In Bridgeport, Conn., Detective Dave Callaham is a family man married to Alexandra and has with her a teenage girl named Lanie. CAL has a past unscrupulous, addicted to drugs and alcohol, his life turned when he was shot by a drug dealer and saved by a stranger. When the stranger finds the horse in bar tells him that he saved him and he gives his girl’s diary of the dead. He tells her his Horse that it committed suicide after having been beaten and raped by Angel, a frequent customer at the club where she danced, and the bar is owned by a drug dealer named Royce Walker. The horse begins to investigate on Angel and when she teaches at the high school where Lanie, he thinks that Angel is a pedophile and decides to take action. Later, Cal realizes that he is a puppet dancing as others sing them.
