In a socialist dystopia in the not too distant future, the Ederlezi Corporation assumes a space mission in the Alpha Centauri system. The company chooses Milutin, a Slavic cosmonaut trained in the newly reformed futuristic Soviet Union, but asks him to accept Nimani, an android designed to respond to the cosmonaut’s wishes and monitor his performance on the ship. In order to maintain his mission goals, Nimani tries to make friends with Milutin and expresses his understanding of Milutin’s purpose of creating a new life and making it more human. Android decides that it must self-destroy to improve Milutin’s mental state. He is devastated, but he is told that he can save it by charging the internal battery, which requires exposure in the outer space, which can lead to possible radiation poisoning. Milutin manages to charge the battery and successfully reactivate Nimani, but what effects will the radiation have on him?
