Chronicles and archives showed that in 1586 King Bayinnaung led his army through Malamo, heading to Tak province to invade Ayutthaya. After a long series of battles, Ayutthaya finally lost the war against the Burmese troops which meant the end of independence. Ayutthaya kingdom’s collapse remained a mystery until today. Some say it’s because the Black Death that decimated the community. Some have blamed ghosts, each plague arrived with the Portuguese. Nobody could find the actual cause until all the bodies have been turned into bloodthirsty undead. Even monks have failed to exorcise them.
