At the edge of a city that is on the brink of destruction, 11-year-old son Alexander sequestered lives in a community with other children, their mothers and charismatic leader Gregori. He teaches children to grow cattle or cultivate vegetables, working as a community … but also how to kill. With the birth of a new brother in mind, Alexander begins to doubt Gregori’s influence on children and their instruction has become assassins. Threatened by the growing propensity of revolt, his behavior becomes erratic and virulent Gregori towards the child that he once considered his own son. With those two being in open conflict and lifestyle of disintegrating community, residents fear a violent end.
